    JOB TITLE: CORPORATE RELATIONSHIP OFFICER - (REF Number: CRO - 07/01/19)

    Reporting to the Head of Corporate Banking, and the role holder will work with Relationship Managers in daily management of assigned portfolio of account by providing credit analysis, credit portfolio monitoring, transactional banking services and related activities associated with the assigned portfolio of accounts in order to increase financial returns.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Providing an interface between the Bank, existing and prospective customers in order to maintain good customer relations, so as to meet customer needs within the strategic objective of the Bank.
    • Overseeing the relationship management of assigned customers through maintenance of an effective call program and accompanying the RM on clients’ visits and file a call report.
    • Attend to queries/routine correspondence emanating from Customers, Credit Administration, Security Documentation, Risk Control, Branches etc.
    • Manage the portfolio in liaison with the Relationship Manager and in their absence, assume full responsibility of the assigned portfolio. Prepare and submit credit proposals in conformity with Credit Policy guidelines and requirements in liaison with the Relationship manager and maintain high standards of Credit Analysis.
    • Supporting the RM to achieve set income targets (interest income, fees and commissions).
    • Daily monitoring of accounts to ensure facilities are within the approved limits and advising the RM of all cheques that have overdrawn current accounts and pay the cheques where necessary.
    • Prepare daily excess monitoring report, monthly asset & income reports and other relevant reports for the portfolio.
    • Attend to Audit queries, perform snap checks monthly and ensure that any anomalies/exceptions are sorted out.
    • Assist Relationship Manager in containing interest expense.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    For the above position, the applicant should have:-

    University Degree with a major in Business Administration, from a recognized university. Possession of a postgraduate degree or professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
    Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Corporate Sales and /or Credit
    Great organizational skills with attention to detail
    Excellent English Communication – both written and verbal skills
    Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Analysis for Corporate Facilities
    Knowledge of banking trends
